Grew up in west Virginia in a coal mining town. My dad always wanted me to work in the mine with him, but I had a passion for model rocketry and dreamed of working for NASA. However after an unfortunate mishap with the igniting powder I lost all use of my right hand when I received severe burns. Unable to continue working at the mine, I lost my only source of income, which coupled with my mounting medical bills drove me into depression and alcoholism.
After 10 years in jail for assaulting an officer I have turned my life around. I now work in a mail room of a large shipping company's headquarters and within 10 years I should have all of my medical bills paid off. I have trained myself to play video games with one hand, and even though I might not keep up with some other players I've been told I have a lot of heart and dedication to the game.
